DB2LOOK issuing SQL1092N
Hi: I have a user reporting an error while trying to use DB2LOOK who's getting error SQL1092N, although this user belongs to the designated LDAP group holding DBADM rights. Here's the command she's trying to execute db2look -d <dbname> -t TUPT_PUESTO_TRABAJO -a -l -x -c -o DDLTUPT.sql I wonder if DB2LOOK is working OK with our LDAP security setup.... BTW: We're running DB2 LUW V8.2....I know, I know....we're very far behind... :-) Any hints...? Regards Enrique Valdez
SQL1092N authorization-ID does not have the authority to perform the requested command or operation. Does the user who runs db2look have all the necessary privileges to access the DB2 catalog tables? Maybe that user is not allowed to read SYSCAT.TABLES, SYSCAT.COLUMNS or some other catalog things because privileges were revoked or not granted? Note: I'm just guessing myself. Did you have a look at the db2diag output?
