Calling COBOL program from DB2 Stored Procedure
Can somebody tell me whether I can call a COBOL program from a DB2 Stored procedure running in IBM Mainframe. If so how, please provide me an example. Can we do it using a native sql stored procedure or do we need to create an external stored procedure in COBOL to call another COBOL program. Also do we need to create a WLM for this? Thanks in advance, Gopu

From a stored procedure written in COBOL, you can of course call a COBOL subprogram (using the COBOL "CALL" statement). The only way to call a COBOL program from a native SQL stored procedure is to implement an (external) stored procedure in COBOL that either contains the given COBOL program source code, or calls it.
Thanks Peter for your response.
